About T&R Construction

T&R Construction is a utility and civil construction company based in Salina, KS. They specialize in concrete, utilities, excavation, and site preparation.

Job Description

T&R Construction is looking to hire dependable and experienced Pipe Layers to assist the construction and excavation crews with general labor and utility installations. This is a hands-on role where you will directly support civil infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in excavation, grading, and leveling of trench bases using hand tools or tamping machines
Carry, position, and organize piping materials, fittings, and job site tools
Lay Water, Sewer, and storm pipe in trenches and excavations
Act as a spotter and communicate with heavy equipment operators
Assist with backfilling and compacting soil around new installations
Set up and move traffic control devices, barricades, or cones
Perform site cleanup, remove debris, and maintain safe work environment

Job Requirements

6+ months of general construction or manual labor experience
Work in a crew environment
Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to take direction from foreman
Must be able to follow instructions
Must be able to pass a drug test
Adhere to all safety rules and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
Physical ability to lift 50 or more pounds
Must follow all PPE requirements per jobsite requirements.
Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late, when necessary
