Full Job Description

Seraphim Bread is looking to hire a new barista/clerk for our front of house operations. We are a made-from-scratch bakery/cafe/restaurant that produces breads, pastries, and brunch items. Independently owned and operated, Seraphim Bread strives to produce professional quality products and service.

Our front coffee bar is a full-service espresso bar with a professional Italian espresso machine. We serve espresso drinks, coffee, matcha, and teas. Candidates must have experience working with a commercial espresso machine making lattes and other classic coffee drinks.

Candidates must also have experience working with point-of-sale machines, have good customer service skills, and have a positive and winning attitude.

Our shifts are available: 6:30am - 1pm, or 9am - 4pm. 5 days a week. Rotating weekend availability required. Part-time hours are also available.

Pay is hourly at $15/hour + tips.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
Operate the POS system efficiently for cash handling and sales transactions.
Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, equipment, and restrooms.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or café environment is preferred but not required.
Strong cash handling skills with basic math proficiency for accurate transactions.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
