Full Job Description

Estimator II - $4,000 Sign-on Bonus

Architectural Components is looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team in Sandy! The Estimator II will be responsible for quality takeoffs, accurate bid documents, and will be the main point of contact alongside our other Senior Estimator throughout the bidding process. Must have knowledge of contract signing, and verbiage linking plans and specs as a legal document.

Positive attitude, strong work ethic and great communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities:

Perform quality takeoffs and cost estimates to plans & specifications
Solicit appropriate vendors and suppliers for estimates
Develop thorough, timely and accurate estimates, proposals and bid documents
Review RFI’s and Addenda to update bids accurately
Communicate all bid information effectively to contractor
Participate in bid reviews with our Team
Maintain bid schedule to meet deadlines
Process all bid documents and transfer all related information to the PM Team after award

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 4 years experience in construction industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task, perform in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Detail oriented and an aptitude for problem-solving
Significant experience with industry-specific software (Bluebeam, Procore, ViewPoint)
Proficient with Microsoft software
Highly motivated with strong work ethic
Prior sales experience is beneficial, although not required
Must be proficient in blueprint reading, quantity takeoff, and construction knowledge
Construction Management degree is beneficial, although not required
Must be able to pass background and drug screening

Architectural Components offers a comprehensive package which includes:

$4,000 sign-on bonus after 9 months of full-time employment

Paid Time Off – accrue 15 days (120 hours) in first year.

Up to 3 Yrs we pay 50% up to $500.
3+ yrs Employment AC pays 75% up to $750.00
5+ yrs Employment AC pays 100% up to $1000.00
