Job Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will provide hands-on support to healthcare providers, assist with patient intake, perform clinical procedures, and ensure smooth administrative operations. Your energy and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for patients across outpatient and inpatient settings, including emergency departments, specialty clinics, and hospital units. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment committed to excellence in healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures, including collecting vital signs and updating medical histories
Prepare examination rooms and assist providers during patient examinations and procedures
Perform clinical tasks such as administering medications, drawing blood, taking X-rays, and assisting with basic life support when needed
Support hospital medicine, emergency medicine, dermatology, geriatrics, internal medicine, and other specialties by managing patient flow and documentation
Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems accurately to document patient information, ICD coding, and treatment plans
Assist with patient education on medications, procedures, and follow-up care to ensure understanding and compliance
Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while adhering to safety protocols
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications

Prior experience in hospital or clinic settings, preferably with exposure to emergency medicine or inpatient care
Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration
Proficiency with EHR systems and medical administrative support tasks such as intake processing and vital signs measurement
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent required; additional certifications in EKG operation or OR experience are a plus
Strong communication skills with a patient service-oriented approach; ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Pay: $35,000.00 - $39,000.00 per year
