Office Manager Job Description

San Diego Hand Specialists is led by a team of 5 orthopedic surgeons specializing in hand and upper extremity. There are over 20 employees who supports the daily operations of this clinic. We are looking for an Office Manager who can lead the staff and share the same passion of providing excellent care to our patients.

An Office Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the clinic runs smoothly every day. Because of this, we are looking for an experienced Office Manager who can help us with the following:

Oversee the daily operations of the clinic
Ensure adequate staff coverage
Oversee Revenue Cycle Management – Eligibility, Authorizations, Billing, Credentialing and Contracting
HR Duties – hiring, onboarding, staff performance evaluation, coaching, compensation oversight, disciplinary action, termination, resolves employee conflicts, approve time off requests, process payroll
Respond to patient complaints
Approve Follow My Health requests
Facilitate weekly meetings with the doctors and staff
Order office supplies
Oversee the ordering of medical supplies & assist when needed
Ensure employees adhere to the company’s policies and procedures and are HIPAA compliant
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s required
Master’s in Health Administration or Business Administration preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records required
At least 3 years of experience as an Office Manager required
