At La Jolla Presbyterian Church Preschool (LJPCP), we believe in nurturing both children and the adults who care for them. Our purpose-driven community is guided by faith, compassion, and a commitment to creating a meaningful early childhood experience for every child and family we serve.

We’re seeking a highly organized, tech-savvy, and warm-hearted Administrative Assistant to support our director, staff, and preschool families. If you’re someone who loves bringing order to creative spaces and wants your work to support a true community of educators while making a lasting difference, we’d love to hear from you.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Enrollment & Records: Manage preschool registration and enrollment (create/edit digital forms, maintain family records).
Financial Admin: Maintain billing, financial reports, and communications through Procare billing software.
Creative Content: Create engaging visual and written content using platforms such as Canva.
Digital Presence: Keep the preschool website and social media platforms current and engaging.
Office Coordination: Maintain organized office spaces, classroom materials, and shared supplies.
Events & Logistics: Coordinate logistics for events, meetings, and family communication.
Community Support: Serve as a friendly, supportive presence and resource for staff and families.

Organized & Detailed: Detail-oriented and love bringing order and efficiency to office systems.
Tech-Savvy: Proficient with Google Workspace, Canva, and Procare (or can learn new systems quickly).
Welcoming & Professional: Someone who writes and speaks clearly, warmly, and professionally.
Collaborative & Flexible: Self-motivated, dependable, and genuinely enjoy working alongside others in a dynamic environment.
A Committed Christian: Driven by an active faith and eager to joyfully support the ministry of our preschool.

HOURS & FLEXIBILITY: Monday–Friday | Average 29 hours per week.

This is a fully in-person position on our La Jolla campus.
Enjoy the opportunity to partner with the Preschool Director to create a schedule within our operating hours, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
While always centered on the needs of the preschool, we strive to create a schedule that thoughtfully considers your strengths and availability.

PAID HOLIDAY BREAKS:

104 hours of total paid time off within the academic school year. This is paid out at a flat four (4) hours per day (20 hours total for a full-week holiday closure).
Holiday Breaks align directly with the SDUSD calendar:

~ Thanksgiving Break (1 week)

~ Christmas/Winter Break (2 weeks)

~ Spring Break (1 week)

EVENING EVENTS:

Only four annual evening events per year (dates are set and provided at the start of the school year).

SUMMER OPTIONS:

Choose to continue working an average of 29 hours per week throughout the summer, supporting Preschool Camp and helping prepare for the upcoming school year through special organization and administrative projects.
You may also take advantage of the seasonal transition by taking up to four weeks of unpaid time off.
