Full-Time | 3-Month Contract (Potential for Permanent Employment)

About Us

We are a San Diego-based law firm committed to securing justice for survivors of sexual abuse, with a focus on representing individuals abused in California juvenile detention centers, including Camp Barrett, Los Padrinos, and the Polinsky Children's Center. Our work is driven by compassion, advocacy, and a deep commitment to holding institutions accountable.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented legal professional to join our growing team. This role requires exceptional writing skills, advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, and the ability to manage sensitive client matters with professionalism and compassion. The primary responsibility will be reviewing, finalizing, and executing Plaintiff Fact Sheets in support of ongoing litigation.

Responsibilities

Review, finalize, and execute Plaintiff Fact Sheets (PFS) with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Communicate directly and empathetically with clients and their families to obtain information and supporting documentation
Gather, organize, and maintain case records and supporting evidence
Draft legal correspondence, declarations, discovery responses, and other litigation documents as needed
Coordinate with attorneys, investigators, and support staff throughout case development
Maintain accurate case management records, litigation deadlines, and timelines
Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, track, and manage large volumes of case and client data
Ensure all work product meets the firm's high standards for quality, accuracy, and professionalism

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of legal experience in personal injury, civil litigation, mass tort, sexual abuse litigation, or a related practice area
Impeccable writing, proofreading, and editing skills, with exceptional attention to grammar, formatting, and detail
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including managing spreadsheets, tracking data, sorting, filtering, and using formulas
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High emotional intelligence and the ability to handle sensitive subject matter with compassion, discretion, and professionalism
Experience working with legal documents, case management software, and litigation workflows
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff

Additional Information

This is a 3-month contract position with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent full-time role based on performance and business needs.
This is an in-office position (not remote)
Monday through Friday
Pay: $30.00–$36.00 per hour, depending on experience
