Full Job Description

COOKS

Requirements/ Expectations:

We are looking for a skilled Cook to prepare delicious CHEESESTEAKS according to menu and the ability to run your OWN kitchen. Preparing orders in a timely fashion and assist with food prep. Must be a great TEAM PLAYER with a POSITIVE ATTITUDE, RELIABILITY and open availability. They must be familiar in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is important. The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our clientele.

Responsibilities

Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
Cook food in various utensils, fryers and grills.
Ensure orders are cooked and prepared in a timely and orderly fashion
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Check quality of ingredients
Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
Wash Dishes and clean stations accordingly
Customer Service and friendly attitude

Skills

Proven experience as cook( flat top grill preferred but not required)
Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and kitchen utensils.
Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, frying, sandwich preparation)
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
Ability to work in a team
Very good communication skills with co workers and customers.
Excellent physical condition and stamina to work 6-8 hour shifts.
Food Handlers Card from the County of San Bernardino
High school diploma or equivalent

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
