About the Company

Millennium Consulting Associates is a leading provider of Environmental, Health & Safety consulting services in California. Millennium is projected to grow significantly during the next 1-5 years. Position Overview

We are seeking a driven professional to join our Industrial Hygiene/Building Sciences team. You will perform duties under the supervision of project managers, project level engineers, and industrial hygienists. We are looking for employees who aspire to grow into project and client management roles.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Assist in the execution of a variety of industrial hygiene (e.g., asbestos, lead, fungi, indoor air quality) and environmental engineering-related field investigation and monitoring tasks.
Industrial hygiene evaluations (75-80%): Conduct field inspections, sample air/water/soil/building materials for hazardous materials, perform employee monitoring, and oversee abatement and construction monitoring.
Environmental/Geo-environmental evaluations (15-25%): Assist with air/water/site permitting, hazardous materials management, and design preparation, including AUTOCAD site plan preparations.
Evaluate the built environment for the presence of regulated building materials, communicate risk associated with these findings, and develop project work plans.
Reporting (5-10%): Prepare general/technical survey and remediation reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: AA/AS degree.
Experience: 3-5 years of field experience.
Specialized Training: OSHA 30 hour training; EM385 training a plus.
Core Skills: Ability to recognize and evaluate occupational and environmental hazards in the built and construction environments.
Completed asbestos and lead training. Certification in Asbestos Consulting (CSST) and Lead Consulting (Inspector/Assessor) is highly preferred.
Familiarity with the construction environment and a solid understanding of building/engineering systems.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering blueprints.
Ability to handle and operate test equipment and strictly adhere to safety requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare memorandums and reports using MS Office and Google Workspace.
Desire to work outdoors and ability to work evenings/nights as required.
Ability to travel throughout California with occasional overnight stays.
Must have a reliable vehicle.
