Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Puerto Rico

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our growing OB/GYN practice. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations while delivering exceptional patient care in a professional and respectful environment.

This position requires excellent technical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations.
Obtain accurate diagnostic images following established clinical protocols.
Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and explain the examination process.
Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and confidentiality throughout each visit.
Document findings and maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any maintenance concerns.
Collaborate closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care.
Follow all office policies, HIPAA regulations, and infection control standards.
Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient workflow within the practice.

QualificationsRequired

Current and unrestricted Sonographer license in Puerto Rico.
ARDMS certification or equivalent credential preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to patient care.
Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced medical office.

Preferred

Previous experience in an Obstetrics & Gynecology practice.
Experience performing:
Obstetric ultrasounds (first, second, and third trimester)
Gynecologic ultrasounds
Transvaginal ultrasounds
Biophysical Profiles (BPP)
Cervical length measurements
Fetal growth studies
Ultrasound-assisted procedures
