Senior Account Executive – IT Solutions Sales

Location: San Diego, CA (In-Person)
Compensation: $60,000 – $180,000+ annually (Base Salary + Performance Incentives)

What You’ll DoDrive Business Growth

· Develop and manage a pipeline of new and existing customer opportunities.

· Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across commercial, government, and education markets.

· Execute strategic account plans to expand revenue and market presence.

Deliver Consultative IT Solutions

· Understand clients’ business objectives, operational challenges, and technology requirements.

· Recommend tailored solutions that align with customer goals and deliver measurable value.

· Present and position Datel Systems’ portfolio of products, services, and solutions.

Manage the Sales Process

· Lead opportunities from prospecting through proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution.

· Collaborate with technical, engineering, and operations teams to develop accurate quotes and solution recommendations.

· Maintain consistent follow-up and pipeline management activities.

Build Long-Term Relationships

· Serve as a trusted advisor to customers and stakeholders.

· Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

· Identify opportunities for account growth and strategic expansion.

What We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications

· 4+ years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably within the IT, technology, or solutions provider industry.

· Demonstrated success in consultative and solution-based selling.

· Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

· Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.

· Ability to quickly learn and effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

· 3–5 years of experience selling IT solutions, hardware, software, cloud, cybersecurity, or managed services.

· Experience managing medium to large technology projects and sales opportunities.

· Familiarity with government, education, or SMB markets.

· Ability to obtain and maintain vendor certifications from industry leaders such as Cisco, Microsoft, HP, HPE, or similar technology partners.
