Job Overview
A premier, high-performing boutique plastic surgery and aesthetic practice is seeking an exceptional Director of Operations & Business Performance to serve as a strategic and operational partner to physician ownership.

This is a working leadership role for a business minded executive who can combine enterprise-level financial and operational expertise with hands-on execution. The ideal candidate will have a sophisticated understanding of P&L management, revenue strategy, profitability, business optimization, and high-touch patient experience.

You will work closely with ownership to identify and execute opportunities that increase revenue, improve profitability, optimize capacity, strengthen team performance, and elevate the patient experience. This is not a traditional practice manager role. We are seeking a leader who can think strategically, analyze the business at a high level, and remain close enough to the operation to drive execution and accountability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial & Business Leadership

Own financial and operational performance, with a focus on revenue growth, profitability, margin improvement, and sustainable business optimization.
Analyze P&L performance, budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and business trends to identify opportunities and drive measurable results.
Optimize pricing, service mix, provider utilization, capacity, conversion, retention, and revenue capture.
Partner with physician ownership on strategic growth initiatives, financial planning, and investment decisions.
Identify operational inefficiencies and financial leakage and implement solutions that improve performance.

Hands-On Operational Leadership

Oversee day-to-day operations while maintaining a visible, hands-on leadership presence.
Lead, coach, and develop clinical and administrative teams with clear performance standards and accountability.
Optimize scheduling, OR utilization, staffing, workflows, patient flow, and team productivity.
Personally drive strategic initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring measurable outcomes.
Build scalable systems and processes while maintaining a personalized, concierge-level patient experience.

Patient Journey & Revenue Optimization

Evaluate and optimize the patient journey from initial inquiry through consultation, treatment, surgery, and long-term retention.
Improve consultation conversion, treatment acceptance, follow-up, scheduling, rebooking, and patient retention.
Partner closely with PCCs and patient-facing teams to strengthen conversion, revenue performance, and the overall patient experience.
Experience in a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) or similar patient-facing revenue role is highly advantageous, particularly for candidates who understand how frontline engagement directly impacts business performance.

Strategic Partnership with Ownership

Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to physician ownership across financial, operational, organizational, and growth priorities.
Translate high-level strategy into disciplined execution and measurable results.
Provide clear, data-driven recommendations and maintain accountability for business performance and outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Experience leading a high-revenue business, multi-site operation, or regional portfolio with full financial accountability.
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in business, healthcare administration, finance, or a related field strongly preferred.
Proficiency with EMR/practice management systems and Microsoft Office
A proven track record of improving revenue, profitability, operational efficiency, and business performance.
Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, KPI analysis, and margin optimization.
Experience leading, growing and developing teams. Holding leaders accountable to financial and operational outcomes.
Experience in elective healthcare, concierge medicine, luxury services, hospitality, private equity-backed organizations, or similarly high-touch environments.
The ability to operate as a hands-on working leader, balancing strategic oversight with direct involvement in day-to-day business performance.
Strong executive presence and the ability to serve as a trusted partner to physician owners.
