Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of guest services, and the ability to manage reservations effectively.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction.
Answer phone calls promptly, providing information about the restaurant, taking reservations, and addressing guest inquiries with professionalism.
Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host area, dining room, outside patio, waiting areas, and menus
Assist in managing waitlists during peak times, ensuring guests are informed about wait times.
Utilize OpenTable POS/ Toast or similar systems to manage reservations and track guest preferences when applicable.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any guest concerns or requests promptly.
Maintain clean and fully stocked restrooms.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
Strong guest relations skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly OpenTable and Toast POS, is a plus.
Excellent phone etiquette and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
A positive attitude with a willingness to help others and contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
