Full Job Description

Position Title: Direct Support Professional Must be availble from 9am-8pm Monday through Friday Rotating saturdays

Job Summary: Devenir Supports understands that each individual is unique in personality and lifestyle. We design supports around their personal needs. We pride ourselves on creating and building relationships. Our staff is trained in nurturing through a positive and open approach while supporting independence.

In this full-time caregiving position as a direct support professional in human services, you support people with developmental disabilities to live their best lives as independently as possible. Your support is needed in many areas of daily living including self-care, hygiene, motor skills, arts and crafts, vocational skills, work habits, and community inclusion. Additionally, you assist with behavior management and recreational activities.

Using effective teaching and mentoring techniques, you will provide support for our clients with their day-to-day schedules. You are always careful to model appropriate social skills and behaviors. Conscientiously, you keep accurate and up-to-date documentation as well as promptly report any concerns about health or safety. You will find it very rewarding to help these wonderful individuals,

Must be able to drive personal car.

Qualifications:

- Must be 18+ years old (required for transporting clients)

- Driver’s License

- Reliable vehicle and proof of insurance

- Use personal vehicle, when necessary, to transport clients (We pay for mileage from the client’s home and back)

- Must pass a background check

- willing to work Saturday once a month

- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

- Excellent problem-solving ability

- Strong team/collaborative player

- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills

- Demonstrate ability to work independently under pressure; proactive thinker/self-starter

- Ability to multitask and be flexible is essential

- Someone who would like to grow with the company

- Positive “Can Do!” attitude
