Job Title: Senior Accountant

Reports To: Controller

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely month-end close. This role is responsible for journal entries, account reconciliations, accounts receivable analysis, and compliance-related tasks, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and budgeting activities.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and post month-end journal entries in accordance with GAAP

· Perform monthly balance sheet and assist with bank reconciliations

· Reconcile monthly credit card transactions and review invoice coding for accuracy

· Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging; assist with AR follow-ups as needed

· Prepare and submit monthly state sales tax payments

· with year-end budget preparation and financial planning activities

· Produce ad hoc financial reports and analysis to support management decision-making

· Process payroll accurately and timely, including related journal entries, reconciliations, and coordination with payroll providers

· Maintain fixed asset records and support documentation

· Manage federal 1099 reporting requirements

· Stay up to date on relevant accounting standards, payroll regulations, tax rules, and other applicable laws to ensure ongoing compliance

· Identify, recommend, and implement efficiencies and process improvements to streamline accounting workflows and enhance reporting accuracy with internal departments

· Maintain accurate documentation and support internal controls

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

· 2–4+ years of accounting or finance experience preferred

· Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations

· Experience with month-end close processes

· Proficiency in Excel

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Collaborate with executive leadership
