Summary and Objective:
As a member of the Production Management team, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for training, supervision, and oversight of warehouse team members while ensuring all warehouse processes follow safety, quality, and efficiency standards. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for various tasks including managing/leading shipping operators, verifying content for shipping, receiving packages, managing ordering supplies, following/improving shipping procedures, and ensuring timely, accurate and secure shipping and distribution. This position will also be responsible for collaborating with all functional areas within the business to drive continuous improvement to achieve key KPIs, best organize workflows and analyze the efficiency of warehouse processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages and oversees team responsible for warehouse processes including oversight of the daily workflow, scheduling, responsibility alignment, and completion of assignments to meet production output.
- Leads team and facilitate the organization’s strategy for cultivating a fully engaged workforce through training, engagement, motivating, and contributing to team effort.
- Provides performance oversight, safety monitoring, and constructive and timely performance feedback.
- Develops warehouse logistics plans and procedures while driving performance by establishing daily, weekly, and monthly goals, to ensure that internal and external customer needs are met.
- Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment, troubleshoots issues that arise, notifies the maintenance department of equipment problems, and ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Regularly performs monitors material handling in shipping and receiving to ensure quality, volume, and efficiencies according to KPIs while preparing analysis and supporting management as needed.
- Create policies or procedures for warehouse activities while identifying issues and opportunities for improvements while partnering with related functional areas to develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost by maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of product movement between manufacturing, warehousing, and ultimately, customer delivery.
- Provides warehousing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
- Sets, reviews, and confirms cycle counts of inventory, researches and clears any discrepancies.
- Coordinates with Food Safety and Quality Department on material and product tests, holds, and releases.
- Ensures all required paperwork is completed and signed correctly.
- Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment while ensuring quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met.
- Participates and owns portion of recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Personal Characteristics:
- 4+ years of experience working in a production or warehouse environment, food production preferred
- Bachelors Degree Required
- Proven warehouse leadership experience with the ability to supervise teams, manage daily operations, and drive productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse management systems, and safety regulations, with a commitment to accuracy and compliance. NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills.
- Must be extremely organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task, and prioritize multiple projects/tasks.
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of Food safety and sanitation protocols and procedures
- Ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions
- Ability and willingness to work in a team environment as well as with limited supervision
- Experience on sit-down and stand-up forklift or ability to be trained within training period
- Commitment to complete work within established time parameters and within budget while flexible enough to meet special project deadlines as required
- As needed, must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays as required in emergencies and all other times as needed or assigned.
Desired but not Required:
- Food manufacturing processing experience a plus
- Bilingual – Spanish/English is a plus.

Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities:
- Follow the proper hand-washing, sanitization, cleanliness, dress and grooming requirements.
- Adhere to SQF, FSMA, Sanitation, GMP’s and HACCP requirements.
- Follow the Company’s procedures and processes for food safety and worker safety.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly work within a plant environment. The work requires the ability to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and talk and listen. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud in plant.
Work Location / Travel:
The position is based full time at our warehouse facility in Denton, TX with the ability to travel to other locations (Denton or Muenster, TX) for training, meetings, and other business needs.
