Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Senior Accounts Receivable & Credit Analyst to join our dynamic finance team.

Responsible for managing Accounts Receivable and for independently evaluating, approving, and taking responsibility for customer credit terms, credit limits, and related credit risk based on each customer’s overall financial and business profile.

Duties

Manage day to day Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, payment tracking, account reconciliation, collections, and aging review..
Partner closely with Sales, Operations, Accounting, and Management to understand the customers to make credit and payment terms decisions.
Develop a deep understanding of each customer’s business profile, operating condition, financial strength, ownership, market reputation, payment behavior, and overall credit risk.
Build and maintain a practical customer credit profile using both financial and non-financial information.
Develop a strong understanding of the horticulture industry and the factors that may affect a customer’s ability and willingness to pay.
Identify early warning signs that may indicate increased collection or credit risk.
Continuously update customer risk assessments as new information becomes available.
Balance credit risk and sales objectives, rather than applying rigid credit rules that unnecessarily prevent good sales opportunities.

Ideal Candidate

Strong Accounts Receivable and collections experience.
Solid understanding of accounting, AR, and commercial credit fundamentals.
Able and willing to research customers beyond traditional credit reports.
Strong ability to develop a complete customer profile and credit risk assessment.
Understands that the goal is to support profitable sales while controlling credit risk.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with Sales while maintaining appropriate credit controls.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
