Full Job Description

Food & Beverage Manager

San Ysidro Ranch, is seeking an experienced and passionate Food & Beverage Manager to join our leadership team. This role is central to upholding the world-class standards of excellence that define our resort. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in luxury dining environments, a deep understanding of Forbes Travel Guide service standards, and the ability to inspire a team to deliver truly exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of all food & beverage outlets, ensuring flawless execution and adherence to Forbes Five-Star standards
Lead, coach, and mentor servers, bartenders, sommeliers, and support staff with an emphasis on service consistency, professionalism, and guest engagement
Partner with culinary leadership on quality control
Implement strategies to drive revenue growth, optimize guest engagement, and improve overall profitability while maintaining uncompromising quality
Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls to reduce waste and maximize margins
Coordinate and execute private events, banquets, and special functions with precision and attention to Forbes standards of detail
Support recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training for food & beverage team members, cultivating a culture of excellence and accountability
Maintain full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, exceeding industry benchmarks

Skills & Qualifications

Proven leadership experience managing FOH and BOH teams in a Forbes Five-Star, AAA Five-Diamond, or equivalent luxury dining environment
Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, motivate, and hold staff accountable to the highest service standards
Extensive knowledge of elevated beverage service, including specialty coffee, craft cocktails, and mixology principles
Demonstrated success in inventory management, cost control, and revenue optimization
Hands-on experience planning and executing high-profile banquets, private events, and luxury functions
Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills in a high-volume, high-expectation environment
Proficiency with hospitality software systems (POS, inventory management, reservation platforms, etc.)
Skilled interviewer and trainer, with a focus on building and retaining a professional, service-driven team
