(Work locations are at our clients' homes throughout SLO County.)

I am Ron and my wife is Maria. I am 70 years old. In March 2022 after 20 years in the corporate world, I left it and used retirement savings to establish Seniors Helping Seniors® SLO County. We are licensed by the CA Department of Social Services (HCO# 404700031) and building our SLO County team! I seek like-minded active seniors who wish to join with us, share life experience with older seniors, help them maintain their independence as long as possible, and be blessed in the process. We served our first senior in December 2022 and are also an approved Veterans Health Administration (VHA) community provider of in-home care services for veterans, who receive our care at no cost as part of their benefit. I am truly honored to serve veterans who risked everything for our sakes and in many cases are still suffering long lasting effects!

Are you a vibrant senior (roughly 50-70 years old) who wants to enable an older senior to remain in the home s/he loves for as long as possible? Maybe you can understand the difficulties a family caregiver experiences and wish to offer respite? Or perhaps you have been looking for meaningful and flexible part-time employment and can't find it? I provide a way for you to accomplish that. You have a unique depth of life experience to share. Many of our caregivers say that they are "paying it forward." Might you resonate with any of this?

We provide paid training and will help you through the process of being listed on the CA Department of Social Services Home Care Aide Registry as well as securing the required background checks. Working hours will be flexible, depending on your availability. We match you up with a compatible older senior who needs your companionship and assistance. Duties will be non-medical and may include light housework or yard work, meal preparation, medication reminders, driving to appointments, and in some cases assistance with the activities of daily living. Chances are good that you've already had the opportunity to serve an older loved one in one or more of these ways.

We want someone like you eager to give back out of life experience, with great customer service skills, a big heart, and a desire to have a positive impact on the lives of seniors. We want you on our team! Your life will be enriched beyond measure through your service to others!

The need is very great and increasing daily. We can't wait to talk and see if you might be a great fit to partner with us to bring blessings to the lives of seniors in SLO County!
