Full Job Description

The Inside/Counter sales representative, will partner with management and outside sales representatives to maximize sales and customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service. Our ideal candidate will have experience in both Electrical and Lighting and exhibit a positive, friendly and helpful attitude with customers and be sensitive to their needs. Your knowledge of electrical and lighting supplies will allow you to determine merchandise required by customer and suggest alternative or additional items related to the order to ensure the customer gets the right material.

This position will be base salary and commission based and will have the opportunity to earn additional income based on metrics.

Primary Duties:

Support customers with counter sales and management with quoting materials for clients and RFP requests.
Partner with outside sales in developing long term relationships and influence buying decisions
Develops strong business relationships in growing existing accounts, prospects for opportunities within account base.
Develops opportunities passed from business development, marketing and outside sales

* Actively work on bids and RFP from State, Local and/or other agencies

Continues education of new products, and acquires and shares competitive knowledge.
Communicates competitive pricing and customer feedback to management.
Identifies ways for continuous improvement of processes.

Job Requirements:

This Position Requires a minimum of 2 years experience within the Electrical and Lighting industry.

Greet customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Process customer phone requests and provide assistance when needed.
Pick and pack customer orders quickly and accurately.
Continually learn about new products and their application. Educate customers on the features and benefits of new products and services.
Maintain counter area and displays to ensure a professional and organized appearance.
Continually work on developing sales skills.
Become fluent with manufacturer catalogs and literature so as to quickly find answers to customer requests.
Assist warehouse personnel with general tasks including:

Receive and stock inventory in warehouse in a timely and accurate manner and enter information into computer system
Pick items and process orders and enter information into computer system following company guidelines
Load and unload delivery vehicles
Accept delivery of inventory and enter information into computer system
Count and confirm inventory
Inspect inventory for damage and faults
Communicate errors to relevant parties
Mark and label stock
Store inventory in accessible manner
Load and wrap stock on pallets
Ensure cleanliness, tidiness and safety of warehouse, front counter area and front of store
Perform other job duties as assigned

Ability to drive company vehicle for various job tasks.

Willing to grow and learn new areas of the business

Requirements :

Valid CA Drivers License
Excellent Attendance
