Couture Seamstress/Tailor for High-End Alterations Full-Time & Part-Time

Laura Basci Inc. | Studio City, CA

Laura Basci Inc. is seeking experienced and highly skilled Couture Seamstresses/Tailors to join our team in both full-time and part-time capacities. We are looking for dedicated professionals with exceptional expertise in couture sewing, garment construction, draping, pattern-making, intricate beadwork, and high-end alterations.

This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, works well in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong eye for detail and quality. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience creating garments from scratch as well as performing luxury alterations with precision and care.

Responsibilities

Perform high-end alterations on couture and luxury garments
Construct garments from start to finish
Execute intricate hand sewing and beadwork
Work with a variety of fabrics, trims, and delicate materials
Assist with pattern-making, draping, and garment fitting
Maintain exceptional standards of craftsmanship and finishing
Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines and client expectations

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of professional experience as a couture seamstress/tailor
Strong knowledge of garment construction, sewing, cutting, draping, and alterations
Experience working with luxury fabrics and couture techniques
Excellent attention to detail and quality control
Strong time-management and organizational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment
Creative problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Must currently reside locally or be willing to relocate before starting
