Full Job Description

Position Overview

NG Builder Company is seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Office Assistant / Estimator Assistant to support our estimating department and office operations on a daily basis. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced construction environment, is eager to learn, and can manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

The Office Assistant will work closely with the Estimator and Project Management team, assisting with paperwork, note taking, job walks, scheduling, communication, and general office support.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Estimator with day-to-day administrative tasks
Organize and maintain project files
Take detailed notes during meetings, job walks, site visits, and project discussions
Prepare, scan, copy, file, and distribute paperwork as needed
Help track project documents and maintain organized records
Assist with scheduling meetings, job walks, inspections, and appointments
Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and communicate professionally with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members
Support the office with data entry and general administrative duties
Assist with bid preparation and estimating support tasks as assigned
Help maintain office organization and ensure documents are properly stored and accessible
Perform other office assistant duties as needed to support daily operations

Qualifications

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to take clear and accurate notes
Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or Google Workspace
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Professional attitude and willingness to learn
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred, as occasional job walk attendance may be required
Previous office assistant, administrative assistant, construction office, or estimating support experience is a plus, but not required

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
