Community Support Network (CSN) is seeking compassionate and dependable Residential Counselors to support adults experiencing homelessness as they work toward stability and permanent housing. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping others and want to build a rewarding career in behavioral health or social services.

About the Role

Our Shelter Program is a 13-bed residential home providing structured, supportive housing for adults engaged in Sonoma County Behavioral Health services. Residential Counselors play a critical role in maintaining a safe environment while helping residents build independence and life skills.

Key Responsibilities

Build supportive, professional relationships with residents
Support daily routines, goal setting, and independent living skills
Facilitate life-skills and wellness groups
Monitor safety and maintain a structured environment
Supervise medication administration and maintain documentation
Respond to crises using trauma-informed care

Qualifications:

Required:

High school diploma or GED
Age 18+
Ability to pass fingerprint clearance and background check
Strong communication skills and professional boundaries

Preferred:

Experience in behavioral health, residential care, shelter programs, or social services
Associate degree or related education
Experience with electronic health records (SmartCare preferred)
Lived experience welcomed and valued
