Department: TUL Margaritaville Restaurant

Property: River Spirit Casino Resort

Location: Tulsa, OK, US, 74137

Full-Time/Part-Time: Full Time

Summary:

Responsible for preparing and cooking food using basic culinary skills, standard recipes, and simple instructions at any assigned MNGE venue. Informs supervisor of problems involved with kitchen or safety operations.

Responsibilities:

Ability to produce a quality product on a consistent basis.

2. Conceptual understanding of basic cooking skills, cooking methods, times and temperatures to avoid over- or under-production.

3. Basic knowledge of knife usage and all sanitation or safety requirements.

4. Washes, peels, cuts and seeds vegetables and fruits.

5. Cleans, cuts and grinds meats, poultry, and seafood.

6. Carries pans, kettle and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator.

7. Ability to follow and complete basic prep and organizational lists and food-storing instructions.

8. Maintains care and cleanliness of kitchen equipment, walk-ins, utensils, work areas, etc.

9. Maintains a professional appearance at all times.

10. Assumes/performs other duties as assigned. #ind1

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION

Ability to read, write and understand English. High School Diploma or GED preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and electronic timekeeping systems, is required.

Previous relevant experience is preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Tulsa County Food Handler’s Card is required for all F&B positions.

Must have the ability to pass comprehensive background check, drug test, and obtain gaming license when required.

JOB DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job. Has ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. up to 42” and Push/Pull force of 100 lbs. Ability to Ability to stand for long periods of time; squat, crouch, reach, and maneuver in all areas of kitchen and casino, frequent ascent/descent from bus stairs, travel to various on/off site venues, which may involve elevation changes in surfaces. Visual acuity to discern and examine text, graphics, color and symmetry. Speech to communicate clearly, express ideas and convey information in an understandable manner. Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and examine documents, records and files.
