Job Overview

The Grille by Jacob & Anthony in Clifton Park is looking for experienced servers who are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences in a lively and upscale dining environment. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing outstanding food and beverage service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.

Duties

Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items including wine and spirits options.
Take accurate orders using POS systems such as TOAST or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and processed efficiently.
Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor throughout the guest experience.
Upsell menu items, including cocktails, wines, and specialty dishes to enhance sales and guest satisfaction.
Handle cash transactions accurately, process sales using POS systems, and manage billing with precision.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
Assist with food handling, beverage service, and drink preparation including spirits knowledge and cocktail mixing.
Provide excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Requirements

Must be 18 or older with a minimum of two years' experience as a server in a fast-paced casual theme or upscale restaurant.
Strong knowledge of POS systems such as TOAST or Micros POS for efficient sales processing.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
Demonstrated ability in upselling beverages like wine, spirits, cocktails, and menu items to increase sales.
Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts without compromising quality of service.
Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail recipes, and beverage service techniques.
Strong communication skills to work seamlessly with team members in a fast-paced environment.
