Entry-Level Associate Attorney
Columbia, South Carolina

Jones Networking is recruiting an entry-level Associate Attorney in Columbia, South Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law school graduate or early-career attorney looking to gain valuable courtroom experience and develop practical litigation skills. Launch your litigation career in the courtroom. This position offers immediate, hands-on courtroom experience representing clients at hearings throughout South Carolina. Rather than spending your first years primarily behind a desk, you'll develop confidence in court while receiving mentorship and training from experienced attorneys.

Responsibilities of the Entry-Level Associate Attorney:
- Represent clients at court hearings throughout South Carolina, gaining valuable courtroom experience while traveling approximately 3–4 days per week.
- Handle lower-level hearings, routine appearances, and procedural matters on behalf of the firm.
- Prepare for hearings by reviewing case files, researching legal issues, and developing case strategies.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties in a professional manner.
- Provide timely updates regarding case status, court outcomes, and next steps.
- Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents as needed.
- Assist senior attorneys with case preparation, discovery, and litigation support.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with court deadlines and requirements.
- Manage a high-volume caseload while prioritizing deadlines and responsibilities.
- Represent the firm with professionalism and strong attention to client service.

Requirements of the Entry-Level Associate Attorney:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school required.
- Active license and good standing with the South Carolina Bar required.
- Open to recent law school graduates and attorneys with 0–2 years of experience.
- Strong interest in developing courtroom and litigation skills.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and communication abilities.
- Comfortable appearing in court and working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to providing excellent client service.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly throughout South Carolina.
