Job Summary

The Sales Coordinator ensures top-line revenue through assisting the Area Director of Sales or DOS in maintaining property sales and marketing objectives. This role will be presented with the basics of booking Group Blocks, Meetings, and Events for the hotel to be acquainted with sales expectations on maximizing occupancy, the importance of optimizing average daily rate, and event revenues for the hotel. The fundamentals will encompass clerical, administrative, marketing materials, client guest experience and other duties to assist in the smooth operation of the Sales department. The candidate is also responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Answer telephone and email messages. Respond accordingly.
Maintain and stay abreast of the latest computer programs/innovations (as applicable).
Maintain well-documented, accurate, organized, and up-to-date file management system in order to service the client and employer in the most expedient, organized, and knowledgeable manner.
Coordination of all groups as contracted by the sales manager/ADOS. Contact and provide appropriate follow-up on all signed/contracted business within five (5) working days. Determine and coordinate all needs of the customer.
Creating groups blocks, entering rooming lists, assisting with reservations and creating booking links.
Develop strong customer relations with acquired accounts through frequent communication, professional, courteous, and ethical interpersonal interactions.
Attend meetings/training as required by management.
Responsible for effectively communicating with the various departments to ensure that the meeting and related functions are executed to exceed the client's expectations.
Work with personnel to achieve required sales team goals.
Have current knowledge of hotel rates, strategies, discounts, and promotions.
Assist with completing any required sales reports.
Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time, and observes prescribed work, break and meal periods in compliance with standards.
Assist in achieving budget top line revenue goals.
Establish and maintain close contact with client accounts and groups.
Develop customer profiles and maintain an effective trace system, including dates and references, to best meet client needs, resulting in superior account services and increased revenues.
Report to, and work/collaborate with Area Director of Sales on sales Action Items, strategies, day to day sales progress, marketing items, among other related items.
Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with the dress code.
Knowledgeable in Marriott PMS systems - DELPHI, MAR-FP
