The Shipper & Receiver is responsible for the accurate movement, tracking, inspection, storage, and documentation of rental equipment and materials. This role supports temporary power solutions and ensures equipment is properly prepared, shipped, received, and returned while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting efficient rental operations.
Safety & Quality

Follow all company safety procedures including PPE requirements, equipment inspections, forklift safety, and crane operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse and yard.
- Ensure equipment cleanliness and presentation meet company rental-ready standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, quality, and operational efficiency.
Shipping & Receiving

Pick, stage, and prepare rental equipment and cable for customer orders.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
- Package equipment to ensure safe transportation and minimize shipping damage.
- Create Bills of Lading, packing lists, shipping documentation, and related records.
- Receive incoming equipment, parts, materials, and consumables while verifying quantities and condition.
- Scan rental equipment into and out of inventory using inventory management systems.
- Inspect returned equipment for damage, completeness, and operational condition.
- Clean, organize, test-ready, and return rental equipment to inventory following company standards.
- Accurately document damaged equipment and communicate repair needs to Rental Technicians.
- Coordinate equipment movement between receiving, inspection, QA/QC, repair, and warehouse storage areas.
- Prioritize rental orders to meet customer delivery commitments.
Inventory & Warehouse Operations

Maintain accurate inventory records through routine scanning and inventory control procedures.
- Organize warehouse and outdoor storage areas to maximize efficiency and equipment accessibility.
- Support inventory cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
- Assist with ordering shipping supplies and warehouse consumables.

Minimum two (2) years of shipping and receiving experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or rental environment.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience operating heavy forklifts (30,000 lb. capacity or greater).
- Minimum two (2) years of overhead bridge crane operating experience.
- Experience with inventory management software and barcode scanning systems.
- Working knowledge of shipping documentation including Bills of Lading.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as business needs require.
