Job description

Local small business is looking to add an accountant to their team. Ideal candidate will have an understanding of accounts payable and inventory management, strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as with a team.

General Responsibilities

Manage and assist with accounts payable
Reconcile general ledger accounts
Purchase Order and Fulfillment management
Assist with basic office functions – filing, answering phones, data entry, etc.
Prepare ad hoc report requests
Develop and maintain written procedures for daily tasks
Monitor sales tax compliance and customer exemption status

Skills

Excellent written and oral communication
Understanding of general ledger accounts, purchase orders, and receiving inventory
Ability to problem solve and identify errors
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and with a small team
Ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers and customers
Understanding of office equipment, computer hardware and peripheral devices

Job Requirements

1-3 years of experience in accounting role or inventory procurement role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
At least 1 year QuickBooks Enterprise experience a plus.
