Full Job Description

Join our dynamic logistics team at Commodity Forwarders! We’re seeking a full-time Logistics Customer Service Representative to join our Seattle branch.

Salary: $21.30 - $25 hourly (depending on experience)

Schedule: Sunday to Thursday 7 am - 3:30 pm

Your Responsibilities:

Customer & Shipment Management

Oversee customer interactions and documentation to ensure cargo moves efficiently.

Operational Efficiency & Collaboration

Delegate tasks effectively to optimize department productivity.
Work closely with the warehouse and other teams to manage shipments efficiently.

Sales Support & Problem-Solving

Assist the sales team by resolving issues, identifying growth opportunities, and driving customer retention.
Demonstrate strong time management and problem-solving skills while maintaining a proactive approach.

Teamwork & Independence

Balance independent work with being a supportive, team-oriented contributor.
Maintain an organized mindset, taking initiative as a self-starter with excellent time management.
Quote, book, and monitor domestic and international shipments for timely delivery.

Minimum Requirements:

2 years of experience in logistics; air freight and export experience is a plus.
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing competing, time-sensitive situations.
Must be eligible to pass TSA background check.
Proficient with basic computer skills, including email, web browsing, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Strong knowledge of geography to identify optimal freight forwarding routes.
Excellent customer service and vendor relations skills, both over the phone and in person.
