Full Job Description

Position Overview

Operating live tooling, broaching, and turning operations in turning centers

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes according to internal data sheets.
Monitor machine operations, adjusting tool offsets and parameters to meet engineering requirements.
Load products into the machine centers.
Prepare parts for first article inspection, verifying dimensions and tolerances.
Measure finished products using precision measurement tools and compare results to documented specifications.
Perform routine maintenance and checks on machinery to ensure continuous operation and prevent breakdowns.
Document production data and report any issues or deviations to supervisors.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to prevent accidents.

Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience as a CNC lathe operator in aerospace manufacturing is preferable.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality.
Physical ability to lift 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Strong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and internal planning documents.
Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills to resolve machine issues promptly.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report issues clearly.
Attention to detail to identify and address quality defects during production.
Knowledge of machine setup and programming is advantageous.
Experience with Okuma & MORI CNC control systems is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

All levels of experience needed.
These positions offer a pay range of $25-$40 per hour to start (DOE). Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, matching 401(k), paid time off, and holiday pay.
