Full Job Description

Stonehaven Senior Living in Fresno, CA is seeking a compassionate and energetic Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dedicated nursing team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, personalized care to our residents, supporting their daily needs and ensuring their comfort and safety. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a warm, respectful environment that promotes dignity and well-being for all residents.

Details

Shift Type: 6am - 6pm (12 hour shifts)
Starting Amount: $18.50/hour
Full Time position, company-sponsored benefits available
Must be able to reliably commute to/from work

Duties

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary
Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems
Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations
Provide compassionate dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and behavioral health support tailored to individual needs
Collaborate with nursing staff in acute care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers to deliver seamless patient service during complex medical situations
Assist with infection control practices using aseptic techniques and proper use of PPE in infectious disease or hospital medicine environments
Support residents with mobility aids including Hoyer lifts and transfer techniques to ensure safety during movement or transfers

Requirements

Valid CNA certification in good standing with relevant state licensing authorities
Prior experience working in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or assisted living communities is highly preferred
Experience with medical documentation, medical terminology, and electronic health records (EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or Cerner)
Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medication administration, catheter care, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS) certification required
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges; experience in geriatrics or behavioral health is a plus
Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care in inpatient or outpatient settings
Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments such as emergency medicine or urgent care
