Event Operations Manager

UDREAM EVENTS
St. Petersburg / Tampa Bay, Florida

About UDREAM EVENTS

UDREAM EVENTS is a full-service event management and production company serving Tampa Bay. Our services include event planning and production, venue management, beverage catering, custom event rentals, event staffing and brand activations.

We also provide exclusive in-house venue management for several distinctive event venues in Downtown St. Petersburg.

As a small and growing company, our team works closely together across event operations, staffing, client services and on-site production. We are looking for someone who wants to become an integral part of our team and grow with the company long term.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Event Operations Manager to join our team.

This is a hands-on management position responsible for supporting the people, systems and processes behind our events. The ideal candidate is confident managing multiple priorities, exceptionally detail oriented and comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day operational responsibilities.

Experience in hospitality operations, event management, staffing, scheduling, recruiting or HR coordination is strongly preferred.

The first year will include extensive hands-on training in UDREAM EVENTS’ internal systems, staffing procedures, venue operations and event standards. As the company continues to grow, this position has the opportunity to advance into a senior operations leadership role with increased responsibility, competitive compensation and benefits.

This position works primarily from our Largo office, with time at our venue offices in Downtown St. Petersburg and occasional on-site event support throughout Tampa Bay.

Key Responsibilities

Recruit, screen, hire and onboard event staff
Manage employee applications, onboarding documentation and staffing platforms
Coordinate employee schedules and event staffing assignments
Lead training for new and existing event staff
Maintain accurate staffing, scheduling and operational records
Assist with payroll preparation and employee hour reconciliation
Manage day-to-day staff communication and performance expectations
Maintain organized internal systems, files and operational procedures
Support event logistics and operational planning
Provide on-site event leadership and staff supervision as needed
Monitor service standards and event execution for quality and consistency
Assist company leadership with operational projects and continued process improvements

Qualifications

Exceptional organization, accuracy and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to confidently lead, train and motivate a team
Strong proficiency working on a Mac
Proficiency with Excel, spreadsheets, email and cloud-based file management
Experience in hospitality operations, event management, staffing, scheduling, recruiting or HR coordination
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills and follow-through
Professional, dependable and comfortable taking initiative
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends based on the event schedule
Experience with Nowsta or similar workforce management platforms is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

Compensation & Growth

Starting salary: $50,000–$55,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

This position includes a comprehensive first year of training across our staffing systems, operational procedures, venues and event services.

Performance and compensation will be reviewed as the employee develops within the position. There is significant opportunity for expanded responsibilities and advancement into senior operations leadership as the company continues to grow.

Benefits and additional compensation opportunities may expand based on position, performance and tenure.
