Full Job Description

Established New boat sales, Service and repower center is seeking a highly experienced Service Manager to lead the service department at our busy marine dealership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine service operations, excellent customer communication skills, and the ability to manage technicians, work orders, scheduling, parts coordination, warranty repairs, and daily shop workflow.

What We’re Looking For

· Minimum 5 years previous experience as a Service Manager or lead service professional in a marine dealership, marina, boatyard, or related powersports environment.

· Strong knowledge of boats, outboard motors, trailers, marine systems, diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, rigging, and seasonal service needs.

· Ability to schedule service work, assign jobs to technicians, monitor progress, and keep customers informed.

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain repairs, estimates, timelines, and recommendations clearly and professionally.

· Experience with work order software, parts coordination, warranty claims, invoicing, service records, and dealership management systems preferred.

· Organized, dependable, customer-focused, and able to keep a busy service department running efficiently.

Responsibilities

· Lead the transformation of our service business from single office to multi location operations by implanting and executing service processes and procedures.

· Manage daily service department operations, including scheduling, dispatching, technician workflow, and customer follow-up.

· Write and review service orders, estimates, invoices, repair notes, and warranty documentation.

· Coordinate with technicians, parts staff, sales team, vendors, and customers to ensure timely completion of repairs and service work.

· Monitor job progress, productivity, quality control, and customer satisfaction.

· Assist customers with repair needs, maintenance planning, accessory installations, warranty questions, and service recommendations.

· Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, labor time, and open work order status.

· Promote a clean, safe, professional, and organized service environment.

· Help grow the service department through strong customer relationships, follow-up, and efficient department management.
