Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate our food service offerings. Here at The Swann House, we are an experience like non other. Traditional foods, community driven, an in house garden with fresh fruits and veggies. This role is perfect for a seasoned culinary professional with extensive experience in fine dining, catering, and large-scale food production. As an integral part of our hospitality operation, you will oversee all kitchen activities, ensure exceptional food quality, maintain rigorous food safety standards, and inspire your team to deliver memorable dining experiences. Your leadership will drive innovation in menu planning, manage inventory control, and uphold the highest standards of sanitation and food handling.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise all kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production across all service areas.
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting dietary requirements and customer preferences.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to guarantee consistency, excellence, and adherence to safety standards.
Manage inventory control and procurement processes to optimize food costs and minimize waste through effective stock management.
Enforce strict food safety sanitizing procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
Coordinate catering events, banquets, and large-scale functions with meticulous attention to detail and timely execution.
Supervise and mentor culinary staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement and professional development.
Monitor shift management, ensuring proper staffing levels, efficient service delivery, and smooth operational flow during peak hours.
Collaborate with management on budget planning, cost control initiatives, and overall restaurant or hospitality operation strategies.
Uphold exceptional hospitality standards by ensuring all team members deliver outstanding service in line with brand expectations.

Experience

Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar leadership role within the food industry, particularly in fine dining or upscale hospitality environments.
Extensive background in food production, catering, banquet services, and restaurant management.
Demonstrated supervising experience managing diverse culinary teams with strong leadership skills.
In-depth knowledge of dietary department practices, menu planning, inventory management, and cost control measures.
Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures, HACCP standards (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and general kitchen safety protocols.
Strong background in managing kitchen operations including shift management, food handling, cooking techniques, and food service management.
Experience working within the hospitality sector with a focus on delivering excellent customer service through culinary excellence.
Ability to oversee large-scale catering events while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
