Duties

Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to standardized recipes and menu specifications
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and mixers
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety standards
Assist with food handling, storage, and inventory management to minimize waste and ensure freshness
Support the culinary team in meal preparation for dine-in, catering, or special events
Follow safety protocols during food production to prevent cross-contamination and accidents
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and ensure smooth service flow

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or dietary departments is highly preferred
Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production
Strong knife skills with proper slicing techniques; experience with food preparation is essential
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, mixers, and slicers
Experience in menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation within a culinary or catering setting
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and servers
Basic understanding of dietary aide responsibilities and food handling procedures is a plus
