Full Job Description

Kind of One Concepts (KOOC), the hospitality group behind The Last Page in Beachwood,

Ohio, and 1818 American Grille in Bath, Ohio, is looking for a dynamic AM Kitchen Manager

to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a hospitality group that is passionate about

exceptional food, outstanding guest experiences, and building strong, collaborative teams. As we

continue to expand with current and future restaurant concepts, we're looking for a leader who

thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in developing others, and leads by example.

Responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen and kitchen staff. Assist the Executive Chef in

maintaining all menus and recipes used in the restaurant, and for the preparation, presentation,

and service of these menu items.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

(Other duties may be assigned as needed) Must be willing and able to do the following:

Ensure proper opening of the restaurant
Ensure proper receiving of all product and lead the BOH team on all prep items
Interact with, direct and supervise BOH employees on a daily basis in a fair and dignified

manner.

Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions.
Assign production duties to all kitchen staff.
Identify and communicate inventory and equipment needs to ordering Manager.
Complete a daily product order.
Meet daily with appropriate Manager/Chef to coordinate and ensure production standards
Assist in the development and maintenance of recipe books prescribing ingredients,

product specifications, and portion sizes, which become property of The Last Page.

Maintain good quality standards including consistency and presentation.
Communicate repair and maintenance needs to management.
Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
Ensure BOH employees understand and adhere to sanitation/safety guidelines.
Safely and efficiently use knives and other tools, utensils and equipment necessary to

complete preparation of menu items.

Education, Training and Experience Requirements

Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent work experience.
Must possess excellent basic math skills
Must be able to operate a cash register or POS system.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements

Must have a genuine passion for hospitality.
Have knowledge of service and food & beverage operations, generally involving at least

five years of front-of-the-house operations including assistant management, server and/or

bartender roles. Should have strong skills in delegating and getting work done through others.

Demonstrate a leadership style that creates a positive work environment.
Be organized in all areas e.g., office, storage areas, side work, and scheduling needs.
Should expect to work 50 to 60 hours per week.
Be able to work shifts on weekdays & weekends

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in BOH either as chef and/or line cook
High level organizational skills with multi-tasking capabilities
Skilled in production and prep that maintains a high culinary standard
Ability to maintain professionalism when communicating with vendors as well as team

members

Experienced in running back of house systems; inventory, ordering, scheduling, daily

prep lists, etc.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage workloads with minimum direction.
ServSafe Certified, preferred

Supervisory Responsibility

Directly supervise kitchen hourly employees.

Additional

Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days as needed.
Must be able to travel occasionally and work at an outside location.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
