Event & Hospitality Manager

Verbena | Prairie Village, KS

At Verbena, we believe hospitality begins long before guests walk through our doors.

We’re looking for an organized, relationship-driven professional to lead our private events program from the first inquiry through the final farewell. This role is ideal for someone who loves creating memorable experiences, building client relationships, and being present when those experiences come to life.

What You’ll Do

As our Event & Hospitality Manager, you’ll own the entire private events experience.

Responsibilities include:

Respond to event inquiries and convert leads into booked events.
Build lasting relationships with clients throughout the planning process.
Conduct tours and client meetings.
Prepare proposals, contracts, and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
Coordinate menus, beverage selections, room layouts, timelines, décor, and special requests.
Communicate event details with our culinary, bar, and hospitality teams.
Ensure every event is fully prepared for successful execution.
Serve as the onsite event manager for private events, ensuring exceptional hospitality and flawless execution.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients before, during, and after each event.
Follow up with clients after events to gather feedback and encourage repeat business.
Support marketing initiatives, social media content, and community outreach as opportunities arise.
Assist restaurant leadership with special projects and hospitality initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:

Has previous event planning, catering, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality management experience.
Loves taking ownership and following projects from beginning to end.
Has exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Is calm under pressure and enjoys solving problems.
Can build genuine relationships with clients and teammates.
Is detail-oriented while never losing sight of the guest experience.
Is comfortable working evenings and weekends .
Experience with TripleSeat and Toast is a plus, but not required.
