Full Job Description

As a Fabricator I at P.G. Adams, you will receive training and be responsible for working collaboratively and individually to delight our customers.

Job Duties of fully trained Fabricator 1:

Set up and operate CNC plasma table including most efficient use of machine and materials.
Rig, load & unload material with overhead cranes & forklift.
Assist with press brake operation under the supervision of equipment operator.
Operate a variety of steel fabricating tools including grinders, torch, and ironworker.
Potential for occasional welding.
Quality control of own work as well as final quality control of product.
Packaging with pneumatic bander.
Help troubleshoot and prevent equipment problems.
Conduct pre-operation equipment safety check & participate in equipment preventive maintenance.
Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
Identify opportunities for improving the work and actively participate in implementing solutions.
General duties as required to support the needs of the business.

Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, recognize and prevent safety hazards, and look out for safety of co-workers.
Consistently achieve a high degree of accuracy while maintaining efficiency.
Work collaboratively with all members of the PG Adams team.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong math skills.
Accurately read tape measure to 1/32”, understand instructions, and basic drawings.
Working knowledge of steel fabrication equipment and tools.
Lift up to 50 lbs., bend and stand repeatedly.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient overhead crane and forklift operation.
Prior CNC experience.

Benefits:

4-day work week.
Health insurance- PG Adams pays 80% of the premium.
SIMPLE IRA Retirement Savings Plan with employer match up to 3% of gross pay.
40 hours sick/personal time annually.
40 hours vacation after 1 yr employment, 80 hours after 2 years, increasing to 120 hours after 5 years.
Over 3 weeks paid holidays.
