Full Job Description

ROME GRINDING SOLUTIONS is looking to hire a full-time CNC OPERATOR who brings some manufacturing experience with them and is interested in building a career with ROME. We have an experienced team and are open to training someone who is just getting started in Machining and sees a career in the manufacturing industry.

Attendance is rewarded with a maximum incentive bonus of $1200 each quarter.
Employer paid health, dental, vision, life and short-term disability.
$3,000 sign on bonus (payable after 1 year of employment)

Responsibilities:

● Produce quality parts on CNC machines including the lathe and mill

● Perform prescribed preventive maintenance on machines

● Maintain clean equipment and safe work environment

● Follow all prescribed safety regulations; willing to wear all safety gear

● Measure, examine, and test completed parts/units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications

● Read blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations to fabricate products, determine product dimensions and tolerances

● Ability to meet goals, quotas, deadlines

● Manage time, efficiency and performance

Key Competencies:

● Communication Skills: excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain

● Attention to detail: high accuracy and attention to detail

● Adaptability: Flexible and able to adapt to change within the business environment, needs and scheduling

● Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently

Required Experience:

● Able to lift up to 50 pounds with assisting tools such as a hoist

● Maintains a safe work environment

Desired Experience:

● Ability to use precision tools; calipers, etc. to take accurate measurements

Challenges:

● Ability to work in an environment that has conditions that change regularly

● Able to stand for long periods of time
