Full Job Description

Join WWC Engineering as a Full-Time IT Technician and immerse yourself in a dynamic work environment where your skills will make a tangible impact. This onsite role allows you to directly engage with cutting-edge technologies and solve real-world problems, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be part of a customer-centric team dedicated to excellence and service, and this position offers a solid foundation for career growth while you exercise your problem-solving abilities daily.

IMPORTANT: Work from our corporate office in Sheridan, WY.

Who are we?

WWC is an independent, employee-owned, multi-disciplinary, civil engineering design firm. We have over 150 employees and have served the Rocky Mountain region since 1980 in Wyoming and Montana.

What would you do as an IT - Information Technology Technician:

As a new Full-Time IT Technician at WWC Engineering, you will find your days filled with a variety of engaging tasks. You can expect to start your day by checking and addressing any urgent technical issues reported by our team. Troubleshooting hardware and software problems will be a primary focus, along with installing and configuring new equipment.
You will also assist in regular system maintenance, ensuring all systems are secure and updated. Collaboration with other departments will be essential as you work to resolve user concerns and enhance their technological experience.
Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life routine. Expect a supportive environment where you can continually learn and grow in your IT skills.

What matters most: To be successful as a Full-Time IT Technician at WWC Engineering, a diverse skill set is essential.

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 & Intune a plus is required to manage documentation and communication effectively.
Experience with Windows domains and Active Directory.
An industry-recognized Help Desk Certification and experience in a help desk environment will provide a solid foundation for addressing technical inquiries.
Excellent customer service skills are paramount, as you'll be interacting with team members to resolve their IT concerns.
Strong organizational abilities will help you manage tasks efficiently, while effective verbal and written communication skills will aid in conveying technical information clearly.
You should be capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating a strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
The ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues, along with familiarity with software installations and IT security principles, will further enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

Proficient in Microsoft Word
Excel and Outlook
Industry recognized Help Desk Certification and/or help desk environment experience a plus
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems
Knowledgeable on software installations
Knowledge of the Internet and IT security
