Overview

We are on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Bakery Department Manager to lead our bakery team. In this role, you'll oversee daily bakery operations, ensure the highest quality of baked goods, and create a welcoming environment for both staff and customers. Your expertise will help us deliver fresh, delicious products while maintaining efficient store operations.

Responsibilities

Manage daily bakery department activities, including inventory control, product merchandising, and stock replenishment.
Lead and supervise bakery staff, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to foster a motivated team.
Oversee purchasing and procurement of bakery ingredients and supplies to ensure freshness and cost-effectiveness.
Implement pricing strategies and promotional displays to maximize sales and customer engagement.
Maintain accurate bookkeeping and payroll records related to bakery operations.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling standards, and sanitation procedures.
Use POS systems for sales transactions, cash handling, and inventory management to streamline store operations.

Skills

Proven management experience in retail or bakery environments with strong leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills, including managerial communication and phone etiquette.
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, pricing, and merchandising techniques.
Experience with POS systems, cashiering, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and basic math skills.
Demonstrated ability in employee orientation, training & development, recruiting, and supervising teams.
