Full Job Description

Experienced Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist — Independent Contractor (1099) Triumph Pediatrics | Washington, DC + MD/VA

Triumph Pediatrics is a concierge pediatric therapy practice in Washington, DC. We're multidisciplinary, with OT, PT, and SLP, and we serve families across the District and the close-in Maryland and Virginia suburbs. We're selective about the clinicians we bring on, and our rates are designed to attract experienced, exceptional independent pediatric clinicians. The work here is unhurried, individualized, and built around real relationships with families.

We're looking for someone who wants to stay. This isn't seasonal or fill-in work. Our families don't want to restart with a new therapist every few months, and the clinicians who do well here are the ones who see a child through and build a real relationship with the family over time.

Who You'd Serve

Children from birth to 14. Referrals come in across articulation and phonology, expressive and receptive language, late talkers and early language development, social communication and pragmatics, childhood apraxia of speech, fluency, and pediatric feeding and swallowing. Caseloads are kept deliberately small so you actually have time to do the work well. Most clinicians carry a caseload of 10 to 15 children.

Who This Is For

You've been doing pediatric SLP for several years and you're good at it. You work independently and you like it that way. You don't need oversight; you need solid referrals, an admin team that handles scheduling and billing so you don't have to, and a practice that trusts your clinical judgment. You take documentation and parent communication seriously because they're part of doing the job well, not chores you rush through.

What We Offer

$90–$120 per completed visit, with the rate scaling by weekly volume. This is set at the top of the local market on purpose.
Evaluations and re-evaluations are paid as competitive flat fees that reflect the full scope of assessment, scoring, and report writing
Flat fees for progress summaries, wellness visits, and IEP/school meetings
50% of the visit rate for same-day cancellations and no-shows
Up to $500/year toward licensure and CEUs, plus mileage between service locations, based on monthly visit volume
A steady stream of well-matched referrals, with caseload size that flexes to your availability and the areas you want to cover, and room to grow over time
Full control of your own schedule and the right to accept or decline any referral
Colleagues in OT, PT, and SLP to collaborate with on shared cases

What We Expect

Active SLP license in DC, ASHA CCC-SLP, and willingness to keep MD and/or VA licensure as needed
Several years of pediatric experience with real depth to it
Ability to serve families across the DMV. Our caseload runs through Northwest and Capitol Hill DC, with referrals in nearby Maryland (Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Silver Spring) and Northern Virginia (Arlington, McLean, Alexandria). You need to be comfortable with in-home and community-based work across that area.
Engaged as a 1099 contractor, carrying your own professional liability insurance
Documentation that meets professional timelines and reads like an expert wrote it (visit notes within 72 hours, evaluations within 10 business days)
A warm, professional way of communicating with families
