Join Utility Partners of America

Utility Partners of America (UPA) is seeking an experienced Utility Locator / Auditor to join our team in Greer, SC. This position is ideal for a seasoned utility locating professional with extensive field experience, strong auditing skills, and expertise using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).

The successful candidate will help ensure the accuracy, quality, and compliance of utility locating operations while promoting safe work practices and operational excellence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform advanced underground utility locating using industry-standard equipment.
Utilize Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) to locate underground utilities and verify utility conflicts.
Conduct field audits to evaluate locator performance, quality, and compliance with company and customer standards.
Document audit findings and provide recommendations for corrective action and continuous improvement.
Assist with investigations related to utility damages, locate accuracy, and field performance.
Coach and mentor field personnel on best practices and locating techniques.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of utility locating experience is required.
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) experience is required.
Extensive knowledge of underground utility locating practices and damage prevention.
Previous auditing, quality assurance, or field inspection experience is preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to work independently and travel locally as needed.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
