BILINGUAL FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST

English / Spanish Required | Full-Time | Perth Amboy, NJ

Law Office of Kenneth L. Gonzalez & Associates, LLC is a busy law firm in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Due to the high volume of calls and new client inquiries, we are seeking a full-time Bilingual Receptionist to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic, intelligent, dependable, and self-motivated individual who enjoys working with people and wants the opportunity to learn and grow in a professional law office.

Prior law office experience is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.

THE POSITION

The Receptionist is often the first point of contact for our clients and potential clients and plays an important role in the daily operation of the firm. The successful candidate must be professional, confident, friendly, organized, and able to handle a busy front desk while maintaining excellent client service.

Responsibilities include:

Answering and directing a high volume of telephone calls
Greeting clients and visitors professionally
Conducting initial telephone and in-person new client intakes
Obtaining accurate and complete information from potential clients
Scheduling and confirming appointments
Making follow-up and pending-case telephone calls
Taking detailed and accurate messages
Assisting attorneys and staff with administrative and secretarial duties
Maintaining an organized and professional reception area
Communicating with clients in both English and Spanish
Handling multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Learning the firm's procedures and case-management practices
Occasional trips to court or other local locations as needed, with appropriate mileage/expense compensation

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone who does more than simply answer the telephone. The ideal candidate is assertive, resourceful, professional, and willing to take initiative.

The successful candidate must:

Be fluent in English and Spanish
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Have strong English and Spanish grammar skills
Be comfortable speaking with clients and potential clients by telephone and in person
Be able to ask appropriate questions and obtain complete information during client intakes
Have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Have strong organizational and multitasking skills
Be able to schedule and manage appointments accurately
Be dependable and maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
Have a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and great energy
Be able to learn quickly and work independently after training
Be comfortable working in a busy office environment
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client and firm information
Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, as occasional local travel may be required
