Full Job Description

Build the Next Generation of Minimally Invasive Spine Technology

At Demetra Spine, we're changing the way spine surgery is performed by developing sterile, single-use surgical instruments and implants that make procedures safer, more efficient, and more cost-effective.

We're looking for a hands-on Product Development Engineering Technician who enjoys building, assembling, troubleshooting, inspecting, and improving mechanical products. If you like working with your hands, solving problems, and being part of a team that develops innovative medical devices, we'd love to meet you.

Whether you're an experienced engineering technician or a recent graduate from a technical program with exceptional hands-on skills, we encourage you to apply.

What You'll Do

· Assemble prototype surgical instruments and implant systems.

· Inspect incoming components and completed assemblies using precision measuring tools.

· Document inspection results, engineering builds, testing activities, and manufacturing observations.

· Assist engineers with prototype fabrication, engineering evaluations, and product testing.

· Prepare products and fixtures for verification and validation testing.

· Operate laboratory equipment including 3D printers, inspection tools, and benchtop equipment.

· Maintain engineering inventory, prototype materials, and laboratory organization.

· Help create and update work instructions, assembly procedures, bills of materials, and engineering documentation.

· Support manufacturing transfers and continuous process improvements.

· Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.

· Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with medical device quality requirements.

QualificationsRequired

· Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent hands-on assembly skills.

· Exceptional attention to detail.

· Ability to inspect precision mechanical components.

· Comfortable reading engineering drawings and assembly instructions.

· Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.

· Strong organizational and documentation skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred

· Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or similar technical program.

· Technical trade school certification or equivalent experience.

· Experience with medical devices, machining, manufacturing, or engineering support.

· Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and inspection equipment.

· Experience with mechanical assembly of precision products.

· Familiarity with 3D printing or prototype fabrication.

· Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.

A bachelor's degree is not required for this position.
