Full Job Description

Benchmark Bookkeeping & Business Services is currently seeking one amazing person to fill an open Full Charge Bookkeeper Position.

We are a growing bookkeeping service company located in Napa, providing small to medium sized businesses with customized bookkeeping services tailored to their needs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
QuickBooks experience is REQUIRED
Bookkeeping experience is REQUIRED
Excellent knowledge of computers and the Internet. Work fluently with Microsoft Office, email, browsers, Windows operating systems, and PCs.
Ability and knack for working with numerical data.
Strong attention to detail.
Accurate and Consistent.

Ability to effectively manage time, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Flexible and adaptable to change.
Must be able to keep client and personnel matters strictly confidential
Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills ( will work directly with clients)

Bookkeeping Functions:
Accounts payable
Accounts receivable
Billing, job costing
Payroll posting
General Ledger (journal entries)
Bank Reconciliations
Verbal and written communication with clients, vendors, staff, and banking contacts
Prepares reports as requested by owner and clients
Generate 1099's
Clean up of QuickBooks files as needed
Sales Tax Reporting
Perform other duties as assigned by owner
