Overview
Registered Nurse, Operating Room (OR) – Travel assignment in Sonora, California. Start date: 08/17/2026. Duration: 4 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,812 – $1,925 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital.

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients in the OR according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
Prepare, position, and monitor surgical patients; maintain sterile technique and assist with intraoperative procedures.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, circulating nurses, and surgical technologists to ensure safe, efficient care and proper instrumentation counts.
Assess patient status, document findings, and adapt care plans to changes in the patient’s condition.
Provide patient and family education related to perioperative care; participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care.
Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of the health care team while maintaining a safe and healing environment.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California (state of practice).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
Minimum two years of recent nursing experience in the operating room or related acute care setting.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Ability to work in a high-demand OR environment and participate effectively in a travel assignment.
Must meet requirements to practice in the listed setting and be in good standing with licensure.
