Full Job Description

Job Summary

Bauderer Packaging is seeking an Accounting & H/R Assistant who will be responsible for performing accounting functions in the areas of billing, accounts payable, purchasing and production reporting. This position will also assist with time and attendance and benefits administration.

We are a small to mid-sized company that is continuing to experience growth. With expected increases in business, this position offers opportunity for future advancement within the organization.

Position Responsibilities

·· Billing

o Billing customers for goods shipped and/or produced.

o Entry of customer sales orders into the accounting system.

o Obtain customer information such as PO #’s, tax-exempt forms, insurance certificates, W-9 forms, etc.

· Payroll / Benefits

o Verification and submission of weekly payroll time records to staffing agencies.

o Enrolling employees in benefit programs.

o Reviewing payroll related invoices.

o Assisting with employee background checks and maintaining employee files.

o Manage vacation and other paid time off.

· Production

o Preparation of daily production reports.

o Review shift production and labor staffing.

· Accounts Payable

o Enter accounts payable invoices and prepare check runs.

o Match packing slips to invoices.

o Complete vendor credit applications.

o Prepare purchase orders for vendors as required.

· General Office

o Answer phones, maintain/order office supplies, distribute mail, and other light administrative duties.

o Organize and maintain files.

o Printing / scanning materials for meetings.

o Other data entry and project work as assigned.

Position Requirements

· Associates Degree in Business and/or a minimum 1-3 years of work experience in a General Office or Accounting Department.

· Ability to read, understand and interpret instructions, policies, and procedures.

· Strong attention to detail, accuracy and ability to organize and perform work efficiently.

· Good oral and written communication skills, as well as strong math proficiency.

· Knowledge of computers – Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook / email.

· Knowledge of QuickBooks a plus.

Willingness to learn and work in a small office environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
