Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time General Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal oral health and patient satisfaction. This position offers a flexible schedule ideal for professionals looking to make a meaningful impact while maintaining work-life balance. You will utilize your clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and passion for patient care to deliver high-quality dental services in a supportive environment.

Duties

Perform thorough patient assessments, including dental examinations, medical history reviews, and oral health evaluations.
Deliver a wide range of general dentistry services such as fillings, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics.
Conduct dental extractions, implant placement and assist with oral surgeries using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
Administer local anesthesia and manage pain control during procedures.
Utilize dental imaging technology and interpret radiographs to diagnose dental conditions accurately.
Execute root canal therapy (endodontics) and other advanced procedures when necessary.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a sterile environment.
Educate patients on oral health practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and related fields such as prosthodontics and endodontics.
Manage medical records efficiently using practice management software such as Eaglesoft, or Open Dental.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive clinic atmosphere focused on excellent patient care.

Requirements

Valid state license to practice dentistry with current credentials in good standing.
Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment; familiarity with pediatric dentistry preferred.
Proficiency with dental software platforms including Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other advanced procedures confidently.
Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient care delivery.
Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs thoroughly and communicate effectively.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation requirements.
Ability to work part-time with flexibility in scheduling while maintaining high standards of care.
